What is Nişantaşı like?

Nişantaşı is in the Şişli district, at the centre of Istanbul's European side. The neighbourhood is shaped by Rumeli, Teşvikiye, Valikonağı and Abdi İpekçi avenues; Abdi İpekçi is known for its fashion stores, while the side streets are full of small restaurants, patisseries and cafés. Osmanbey, Teşvikiye and Maçka are neighbouring areas considered part of it.

How do you get there from Osmanbey metro?

The easiest way by public transport is the M2 Yenikapı–Hacıosman metro line:

1. Get off at Osmanbey. It is only one stop from both Taksim and Şişli-Mecidiyeköy.
2. Come up to Halaskargazi Caddesi.
3. Turn into Kuyumcu İrfan Sokak; the branch is on that street at No:8.

Bus and metrobus riders can get off at the Şişli or Osmanbey stops and walk the same way. If you are driving, there are multi-storey car parks and on-street parking nearby.

• Abdi İpekçi Caddesi: Nişantaşı's best-known shopping street, sloping down towards Maçka.
• Maçka Park: the green space below Teşvikiye; good for a short walk before or after eating.
